The Castine Citizens Action Group has grown dramatically in the last several months. Our membership is now over 230 people. Our mission is to provide a strong and constructive voice in response to Maine Maritime Academy's expansion efforts and to promote a cooperative and balanced relationship between the Town and the Academy that respects Castine's heritage and resources. Our members include people who were born in Castine, those that have chosen to live full time in Castine, and those who can be here only during the summer. Members also include MMA alumni, parents of MMA students, and people who have donated years of effort and support to the Institution they love. Each and every cross section of Castine is included in the membership. The common thread of membership is the desire to see both MMA and the Town of Castine prosper. Coordinating Committee
